Role in the project:
Responsible for the work to be carried out in the field of OPS technology, intelligent monitoring and instrumentation of large equipment for the construction of OPS bridges. Participates in preliminary studies related to large equipment, in the technical specifications of requirements, in the technological development of the instrumentation solution, in the installation, validation and tests of the instrumentation solution (prototype), in the promotion and dissemination of the project results and also in the project management and coordination. He is currently a PhD student at FEUP.
Artur Louçano
Role at BERD: OPS Specialist
Role in the project:
Research and development of construction equipment, automation systems for structures, sensing, data processing and instrumentation. Participates in preliminary studies, in the technical specifications of the instrumentation solution, in the technological development, in the installation, validation and tests of the equipment’s instrumentation prototype and in the promotion and dissemination of the project results.
Filipe Magalhães
Role at FEUP: Assistant Professor
Role in the project:
Coordination of the FEUP team. Responsible for the scientific coordination of the work to be carried out within the scope of preliminary studies, technical specification, technological development of data analysis and processing algorithms, scaffold instrumentation, information correlation and real-time information system for equipment monitoring, as well as validation and testing of the prototype and promotion and dissemination of project results.
Carlos Moutinho
Role at FEUP: Assistant Professor
Role in the project:
Researcher involved in all project tasks with special emphasis on technological development of innovative solutions for instrumentation of large equipment for bridge construction. Very active participation in the validation and testing of the prototype and in the promotion and dissemination of project results.
João Costa
Role at FEUP: Research fellow
Role in the project:
Scholarship holder hired by FEUP, involved in activities related to preliminary studies, technical specifications of the instrumentation system, prototype development and instrumentation prototype validation, as well as in the development of scientific material for the promotion and dissemination of the project to the scientific community.
Álvaro Cunha
Role at FEUP: Scientific Coordinator of R&D Center (CONSTRUCT) and Professor
Role in the project:
Analysis of scientific content developed by CONSTRUCT's R&D team, providing support, guidance, and advanced scientific advice in the structural monitoring of large equipment.
